How to List Products Using Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) on Amazon – Step-by-Step Guide
Looking to take more control over your Amazon business in 2025? Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM) might be your next best move. Unlike FBA, where Amazon stores and ships your inventory, FBM allows you to handle storage, shipping, and customer service directly. This can significantly reduce costs and offer more flexibility—especially for small businesses or custom products.
In this guide, I’ll walk you step by step through how to list your products on Amazon using the FBM method, all within your Seller Central account. If you’re aiming to save on fees or want more control over your fulfillment process, this post is for you.
Step 1: Log into Your Seller Central Account
Go to sellercentral.amazon.com and log in. Don’t have an account yet? Create one first.
Step 2: Open the Main Menu
Click on the burger icon (☰) at the top left of the screen to open the main navigation menu.
Step 3: Navigate to 'Add Products'
Under the ‘Catalog’ section, click ‘Add Products’.
Now, either:
1. Search for an existing product listing, or
2. Create a new one from scratch
Step 4: Enter Product Details
Fill in your:
1. Title
2. Description
3. Bullet points
4. High-quality images
Use relevant keywords to optimize your listing for Amazon SEO.
Step 5: Choose Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM)
In the ‘Offer’ tab, scroll to the Fulfillment Channel section and select ‘Fulfilled by Merchant’.
Input your inventory quantity and price, then click Save and Finish.
Why Use FBM?
1. Greater control over operations
2. Reduced fulfillment and storage fees
3. Ideal for slower-moving or oversized items
4. Allows flexibility for multi-channel fulfillment
Conclusion:
Amazon FBM empowers you to run your business your way. If you want to avoid FBA’s rigid structure and fees while offering excellent service, this is a great option.
